Surprise, surprise.  Reuters, this time in the form of UN correspondent Lou Charbonneau, gets a direct line from Steve Hege on his presentation to the UNSC Sanctions Committee.

In return?

Not a single mention of how Rwanda — a sovereign nation, member-state of the UN and just-elected UN Security Council member — has seriously, strenuously and repeatedly refuted both the content and motives behind Hege’s ridiculous report. Including, of course, Hege’s own disqualifying history of Tutsi-hatred and general Rwandaphobia.

This is the trade-off Reuters has agreed to: as leak destination #1 for Team Hege, they don’t publish a word against them, or him.

Ah.  Wire service hacks.  Fighting over the ruins of a dying medium.  What a pitiful sight.
